Whether you are an experienced sailor or just want to try something new, the FitbyFerro Sailing Challenge is the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself and build lasting connections with like-minded people.
This year we have 4 boats with 4 skippers and space for 32 people.
Each boat will be crewed by an experienced skipper and co-skipper and five participants. Participation is also possible without sailing experience!

Sardinia and Corsica are among the best sailing areas in the Mediterranean. Both islands offer beautiful coastlines, crystal-clear water and varied landscapes. Here is an overview of the most important key points for our anticipated sailing trip.

Olbia
Check-in and Opening
Olbia, a vibrant city on Sardinia's north-east coast, is the perfect place for our joint meeting. Here we move into the boats and look forward to a cosy get-to-know-you opening event!
Sunday 31.08.2025
Cannigione (ca. 15sm)
We sail along the Costa Smeralda on Sardinia's north coast, a popular holiday destination. After an optional sports programme in the morning, we sail off in a relaxed manner before dropping anchor again in the evening.

Isola Budelli, Santa Maira and Razolli (ca. 15sm)
The three islands in the Maddalena archipelago offer unspoilt nature and fantastic beaches. During the day there are sporting activities and boat challenges, and in the evening we celebrate with music on our boats.

Bonifacio (ca. 15sm)
The harbour of Bonifacio on Corsica is considered one of the most beautiful and picturesque harbours in the Mediterranean in unspoilt nature, and we drop anchor and go ashore together in the evening for dinner or a team walk.

Santa Teresa di Gallura (ca. 12sm)
The marina is one of the best in the region. A walk leads through impressive rocky landscapes with sea views. After a day's challenge, all the boats celebrate a party together on board or on land.

Cala Gavetta (La Madallena) (ca. 12sm)
After exciting team challenges, we sail on to the next landing stage. The charming town exudes Italian flair and invites you to linger with its bars, restaurants and shops. Let's enjoy it as a team.

Closing Event
We sail back to our starting harbour Marina di Olbia and celebrate our Challenge Closing with a great evening event.

Check Out 10 Uhr
Our last night in a cosy bunk. After exciting challenges and new friendships, it's time to say goodbye to the fantastic boats before we slowly make our way home.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE TRIP
Highlights of our route are the archipelago of La Maddalena and the Costa Smeralda – the ‘Caribbean’ jewel of Europe, known for its crystal-clear, turquoise-coloured water and white sandy beaches. Another highlight is the harbour of Bonifacio, which stretches out in an impressive setting between steep limestone cliffs and the glittering Mediterranean Sea.

Harris aka Harry is not only the unofficial mayor of Berlin, he’s also really good at DJing. Harris can definitely set clubs on fire. I've been sailing for about 26 years and have all the necessary licences. My favourite sailing area is the Mediterranean, especially the area around Corfu, where we are not going this year.
I've taken part in the FitbyFerro sailing challenge countless times and won the first event eleven years ago with my professionally assembled crew; some crew members even took part in a second sailing holiday later on.

I've been travelling the world's oceans since 1997. Back then, my grandma put me in a little nutshell called the ‘Optimist’. After 10 minutes, I capsized for the first time. I developed this ‘talent’ further later in my career as a pirate sailor, taking part in various international championships.
I have taken part in the FitbyFerro sailing challenge 7 times so far and have won several times in a row with great teams.

At sea since 1985.
Since then he has sailed everywhere in the Mediterranean, the North Sea, the Baltic Sea, the Channel, the Canary Islands and the South China Sea, mostly as a skipper, sometimes also as a watch leader on three-masters or other traditional ships.
I took part in the sailing challenge for the first time 10 years ago, back then with Jan. Lysander joined shortly afterwards. This year is the seventh time for me.
So we've often had heated sailing duels on the sea.
